'Let's Go Hand in Hand'

Saturday morning, Emily and I woke up bright and early (7am - can't remember the last time I did that) to get on a bus with our Shakespeare class that would take us to Stratford-Upon-Avon - Shakespeare's birthplace and hometown.

This is what happens on a morning bus - everyone passes out.  There were 13 of us on this bus, but you can't see many heads because they're all slumped down, sleeping.

Our morning smiles.  We were tired, but still very excited!

We drove two hours through the countryside and saw lots of livestock along the way!  A nice change of scenery from the city of London, and certainly from the city of New York.

Beautiful buildings and cottages.

My professor is the one with the sunglasses on looking back at the camera (on the left).  He's such a sweet and intelligent guy.

Beautiful, small church with a painting of the final judgement that they tried to restore after the Protestant Reformation painted over its bright colors.

Emily really wanted to run through a field.
So she did just that.

As you can see, us NYU kids have really missed green space.

My series of running photos:

Yeah, I'm pretty happy to be here :)

The gorgeous river Avon

Boats named after Shakespeare's famous female characters.  So clever.

We ate here for lunch.  Also known as "The Dirty Duck."  Shakespeare used to eat and drink at this same pub, and now many actors can be caught here after performances.

It took us a while to get the ketchup so Emily and Travis were pretty happy when it came.

We had to eat really fast because our show started at 1:15.
This is the aftermath of scarfing down our meals.

The Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre

We saw Comedy of Errors there.  It was set in a more modern times and was done very well. I really enjoyed the production and laughed the whole way through.  I always love a good Shakespeare production.  It added splendidly to our wonderful day!

A gorgeous day in Stratford.
Look at those blue skies.

Ice cream on a boat!

The Bard Duck!  So cute.

Rolling hills on the way back <3

Blue skies.
Green grass.
Crisp fall weather.
Gained knowledge.
Entertaining theatre.
Good company.

Quite the perfect day if I do say so myself.
